If you ask someone who isn’t a professional in this industry about the stock market, they will almost undoubtedly reference Facebook, Apple, Netflix, or Google. As we in the industry like to call them: FANG (Some people like to throw Amazon in for FAANG, whatever.) HOWEVER, as Ben Carlson points out in his post below, a few big stocks don’t tell the whole market story. To equate what’s happening with 4 stocks to what’s happening in the entire market is very misguided. Zoom out a little bit, and take a bigger view of the entire market.
