With their 82nd loss of the year last night, the New York Mets solidified their 7th losing season in the last 9 years.  While this has been no surprise given how they’ve played the last few months, it really put into perspective how unique the expectations coming into the season were.  History shows that Mets fans (myself included) probably could have expected to be let down this year, and we were.  It’s a rough game, but it’s all about managing expectations.  I think that resonates a great deal with investing as well.  Maybe next year, Mets fans!
