So far, 2016 can be summed up in one word: volatile.  On August 12, 2014, the S&P 500 reached the 2,000 level for the very first time.  Today is June 28, 2016 and the S&P 500 is currently sitting at 2,018.  That’s 22 months of nothing.  There has been a number of up 10% moves, and down 10% moves, but ultimately if you fell asleep in August 2014 and woke up this morning, you didn’t miss much.  Anyway, my search for ‘non-Brexit related’ articles continues, and I managed to find a couple good ones for today!

Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:

‘US Junk Bonds Eked Out a Small Gain Last Week’ – James Picerno – The Capital Spectator

‘The Market Turns Defensive’ – Eddy Elfenbein – Crossing Wall Street

‘6 Reasons Why Your Fund Checklist is Hurting Your Performance’ – Corey Hoffstein – Newfound Research

‘Financials: The Market’s Most Volatile Sector’ – Lawrence Hamtil – Fortune Financial

‘$1 Billion Ballpark Proposal in Texas Withers in Heat’ – Jason Notte – MarketWatch

ENJOY!
