Mean reversion is a very real thing.  That’s one of the main takeaways I’ve learned over the last handful of years.  Whether it’s in the market, or with a sports team, mean reversion catches up to you eventually.

For example, the Mets have been the WORST team in the MLB over the last few weeks, incapable of scoring any runs.  Looking at the team, it’s obvious that wasn’t going to last forever and they would eventually revert back to the mean.  The last three games have been just that.  They now have a three game winning streak, and broke out for 12 runs on 15 hits last night.
