The Mets received quite a scare last night from Jacob deGrom. deGrom was forced to leave the game after dominating four innings with a ‘hyper-extended right elbow’. However the MRI came back negative and he was cleared to proceed to get ready for his next start on Monday. HOWEVER, as usual, the Mets organization botched the delivery of this good news. A first report came out saying he would miss his next four starts, before Mickey Callaway announced he would pitch on Monday. This is just another reminder of why communication is so important in any field. Whether it’s within a baseball organization, or an investment advisor talking with his or her clients.
