In a surprising move, the Boston Red Sox have designated the once-star hitter Hanley Ramirez for assignment. That means they have one week to either trade Ramirez, or outright release him. This is just another reminder to us investors. Even if someone, or something, USED to be a star, if it no longer fits in your game plan, it is time to move on.
