So did anything interesting happen this weekend? Oh, that’s right, the BEST Super Bowl game ever happened last night! WHAT A GAME. Brady and Belichick have cemented themselves as the greatest coach and quarterback in NFL history. However, this may not bode well for the markets. The old “Super Bowl indicator” says that if the NFC team wins the Super Bowl, it will be a positive year for the markets. However, if the AFC team wins, as the Patriots did last night, it means a negative year for the markets. This is NOT something to base your investments on, just more of a fun statistic. After all, just last year this “indicator” was wrong. The Broncos (AFC) won the Super Bowl, and SPX finished +9.54% for the year. So, like always, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
