The winter meetings for the MLB started this week, and it got me thinking.  The winter meetings are a good time for each organization to take a good hard look at their roster, and determine what needs to be acquired or let go for next season.  I compare this to re-balancing an investment account.  Many investors like to re-balance their accounts towards the end of the calendar year and make sure their portfolio is properly aligned heading into the next year.  Hopefully your favorite MLB team is properly aligning their roster for a winning season next year!  I know for me, the Mets, probably aren’t.
