Being in the financial planning and investment advising business, we often play the role of the “bad guy”, or as Tom called it in his recent blog post the “Dutch uncle”. It’s our responsibility to tell clients the sometimes harsh, but true messages that they may not want to hear. Keep that in mind as an advisor, or as a client looking for an advisor. An advisor who will tell you only what you want to hear is probably not the best option.
