Surprising MLB news this morning, and no I’m not referring to the extra-inning thriller in the World Series. Joe Girardi will NOT be returning as Yankees manager next season. This doesn’t make much sense to me as an outsider Mets fan looking in. Girardi got a team that was supposed to be ‘rebuilding’, and took them one win from the World Series! That doesn’t deserve a new contract? Harsh move from the Yankees, but knowing them, they always have a plan in place. It’ll be interesting to see who fills his shoes next year in the Bronx.
