Mutual Funds: Three Primary Types of Open-End Funds Video

by | Apr 1, 2013 | Videos, Asset Management

Do you know what the three primary types of open-end mutual funds are? If you answered no don’t feel bad. Many investors are in the same boat as you. Tom and Brendan will explain the three types of open-end funds in this week’s Mullooly Asset Management video. The conversation begins by covering front-end mutual funds, and then turns to cover back-end funds after that. The final open-end mutual fund that Tom and Brendan discuss are low-level-load funds.

Tom explains how investors need to be informed about these types of mutual funds. Understanding what these funds cost, and what they do for you is critical. Many Exchange Traded Funds can do what mutual funds aim to in a more efficient and less costly fashion. Tom and Brendan highlight this with a chart example towards the end of this video.
