The Mets, despite their 10-1 start, were dealt a bit of blow this morning learning that catcher Kevin Plawecki has broken his hand just a day after learning Travis d’Arnaud has a partially torn UCL. Their top 2 catchers out for a while. However, the Mets have a young catcher ready to go and step in. This reminds me a lot of our world of finance and investing.
Going into the “season” you have a game plan, and players in place, but things happen along the way. Instead of rolling over and calling it quits, you need to adapt and change your plans to find success. Not all of your investments and plans are going to work out exactly as you envisioned, but it’s imperative to remain nimble and ready to change when life throws you a curveball.
