This past weekend, my new band played a show in Asbury Park, NJ.  Being a drummer, I hold a great deal of responsibility when it comes to maneuvering the group through the performance.  Last night as I was preparing for the coming week, I couldn’t help but connect some similarities between pieces of investment portfolios and members of a band.  Each member is responsible for their own individual part, and when done correctly, it comes together into a cohesive, pleasant sounding song.  The same can be said for an investment portfolio.  A longer post on this topic will be published at some point this week, so stay tuned!

Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:

‘At Some Point, You Have To Eat The Broccoli’ – Farnam Street

‘How A Trump or Clinton Win Will Impact Your Investments’ – Meb Faber

‘Common Misperceptions About Basic Investing’ – Lawrence Hamtil – Fortune Financial

‘The Donald Trump of 1912’ – Anthony Isola – A Teachable Moment

‘Debt-Whisperer Quits Morgan Stanley to Launch Securities-Backed Loan Firm’ – Mason Braswell – Advisor Hub

ENJOY!
